Haanel maintains that wisdom, power, or permanent success of any kind can be only found within; that “it is an unfoldment.” So what is unfoldment? Various dictionaries refer to the ambiguity of the concept, which would confirm nature versus nurture, in its basic stem. The terminology, whose coining has not been attributed to a single author, has been embraced by FISU (Foundation for International Spiritual Unfoldment) uses Spiritual Unfoldment as the method for its meditation philosophy.  Unfoldment has found a very interesting  home in the worlds of education; spearheaded with Andragogy, adult education which empowers adults to learn by vested interest by power of their experience as opposed to pedagogy which has, for the most part been an attempt to imprint contents to children. According to Fernandez, (2009) unfoldment concept  is the understanding that students should freely develop, search, and attain their innate qualities and interests in a healthy school setting encompassed a new degree of learning that triggered changes in the time and context in which students learned. Each student independently possessed learning qualities. Whichever the case may be, Haanel certainly is striking a cord that, apart form its controversial potential, seems to resound with the also be found in the Bible.

Psalm 119:130 (AMP)

The entrance and unfolding of your Words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple.

You, through Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for (Your Words) are ever before me. I have better understanding and deeper insight than all my teachers, because Your testimonies are my meditation.

1 Corinthians 2:13-14 (AMP)

13 We also speak of these things, not in words taught or supplied by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual thoughts with spiritual words [for those being guided by the Holy Spirit].

14 But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters].

We are unfolding, by Biblical standard, as we are allowing The Word to enter our souls and minds via our spirit and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

One of my favorite scriptures:

Ephesians 3: 20 (AMP)

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of the action of His power that is at work within us, is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare to ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, homes or dreams, To Him be glory….Amen!!!!
