I AM, the documentary movie is certainly inspiring, to say the least. i-am-19

The smiling face of Archbishop Tutu cannot even capture the depth of the love and joy captured in the movie; the contrasting desperation of daily toil, such as the stock exchange of intense competition AGAINST the OTHERS cannot even depict the loneliness of some of our fellow humans are experiencing as they are perceiving OTHERS AS THEIR ENEMIES. i-am-15

Director Tom Shadyac, after a life changing accident, of all by bicycle, travels around the globe and interviews brilliant minds to uncover what life is about. Some of the answers gained were based in Noetics, a branch of metaphysical philosophy concerned with the study of mind as well as intellect and the inter-connectedness of all the living. i-am-10

It is being posited that a breath at one point of the earth affects another; Einstein is quoted as stating that an electron at the beginning of a lengthy distance is changing an electron at the other end, whatever that would constitute.

The OLD BOOK says “Love your Enemies, Bless them that curse you; do good to them that hurt you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matt. 5:44-45

Here it gets personal; what I do, in terms of love, kindness, especially to enemies, is affecting the whole. BAM. We are part of a universe where the seemingly smallest unctions influence the next person and on all. At the same time, each is unique and precious to the CREATOR OF ALL, THE ONE WHO CAME TO LIVE HERE ON THIS PLANET AND DIE FOR ALL.

  1. Great post, Raphaela! It is truly a giant leap for humans to see themselves, as complex as we are, as an intertwined part of a much bigger whole. Realization that we are a ’cause’, each creating an ‘effect’ on the rest of the universe, would be a good start!
